Govardhan Puja – The Govardhan Puja, or the worship of the cow, is one of the most important Hindu festivals. It is celebrated on the last day of the dark fortnight (puja paksha) of Ashwin month (October – November) every year. The festival falls on the day of the waxing moon (Gauribidan), and is usually celebrated in households by offering prayers to Lord Krishna and his consort Radha. This Festivals is the part of 5 day long festivities of Diwali and it is is mark  a day after Diwali. Let us tell you, Govardhan occasion is as well known as Annakut Puja. It is trusted about this occasion that on this day, Lord Krishna lifted the complete Mount Govardhan to save Gokulwasis from Indra’s rage. On the day of Govardhan Puja, human worship Mount Govardhan by making its idol from Dung.
