Govardhan Puja – The Govardhan Puja, or the worship of the cow, is one of the most important Hindu festivals. It is celebrated on the last day of the dark fortnight (puja paksha) of Ashwin month (October – November) every year. The festival falls on the day of the waxing moon (Gauribidan), and is usually celebrated in households by offering prayers to Lord Krishna and his consort Radha.
